Rare Possible Prototype 1961 Gibson B-45 12-String: Info, Specs, Listen.
Leo Kottke used a modified 1961 B-45 for his legendary "armadillo album." Named by fans from the drawing of that creature on the album's cover. Many of Gordon Lightfoot's 12-string songs were also recorded with his
B-45's. The challenge is finding a good 1961 or 1962 version. Gibson made a lot of B-45 12-strings, but after the first two years, B-45's tended to have a tighter thinner sound from strengthening them. Recording level 1961/62 B-45's are some of the rarest recording level acoustic guitars ever made. If this Gibson B-45 is indeed an early 1961 prototype, it could be a one-of-a-kind Gibson B-45. Serious collector level. ________________________________________________________

One-of-a-Kind Custom Factory Hand-Built 1990 Taylor K-55 12-String: Info, Specs.
This custom K-55 was built in parallel to Leo Kottke Signature Model prototypes. The only difference was the sides and back were built from koa wood instead of mahogany. The rest of the guitar was built from the same stash of wood used to build the Kottke Signature prototypes. Unlike the LKSM prototypes, it has a hand-made Florentine cutaway rather than a Venetian cutaway. The first owner reported it was last custom shop guitar made by the original core team. The label is is signed by Bob Taylor, with a dedication to the original owner. I am the second owner. This is a serious collector level instrument, stored in climate controlled secure storage.
