Track Notes (Bandcamp):
LATE NIGHTS IN THE LAB:
These were experimental recordings. For generating ideas. Not for release. After rent
increases abruptly ended the Lab, I decided some of the exploratory tracks were interesting
enough to share. For full effect, TURN IT UP. Don't forget to turn it back down.
TRACK NOTES:
The idea behind Delta Blues Radio was wildly idealistic. As if this music had been broadcasted
by a 1930's Delta radio station, and it somehow bounced back from a time warp. A recording
approach that I actually used on this "time warp ghost" version. I quickly decided one track
of this was enough.
This music is not scholarly. Not even close. But it was never my intention to be authentic.
Instead, it turned into a 3-way battle between trying to source from Charlie Patton's circle
without copying them, trying to not sound like John Fahey, while attempting to connect my
rock band background to early Delta blues.
Note. The appropriate historical hiss was provided by messing too much with my early Pro
Tools LE 7 system.
